I knew I needed to go on a diet. As diabetes runs in my family, I knew I was setting myself up for that path. As a matter of fact, I would start some kind of diet every Monday. I tried several different diets on my own. I cut out carbs, sweets, and calorie intakes. Other diets were boring and felt like a waste of time since I never felt any changes.
